Cincinnati Cancer Advisors is proud to announce a brand-new kickoff event to the Western & Southern Open tennis tournament, which will begin play on August 13, 2022, at the Lindner Family Tennis Center in Mason, Ohio. This first-annual concert on August 12th at Taft Theatre will benefit CCA's mission and will feature the nine-piece Philip Myers Band along with Kevin Chalfant. Chalfant was the first vocalist called upon by the 1980’s supergroup Journey after lead singer Steve Perry took his hiatus from the chart-topping band.
This year’s event, aptly named “The Cancer Journey Experience,” will be a 90-minute, high-energy rock concert where fans will revel in hearing a collection of some of Journey’s greatest hits performed just as they remember them. The performance will also feature other iconic songs from the 1970’s and 1980’s performed by the Philip Myers Band which, on any given night, might feature songs by Toto, Boston, Elton John, Led Zeppelin or Van Halen, among others.
A limited number of VIP tickets are available at $250 per ticket that will include premium seating and a pre-show cocktail hour where attendees will have the opportunity to meet players participating in the Western & Southern Open as well as members of the Philip Myers Band.
