Event Information

Classical Arts Entertainment, Inc. featuring The State Ballet Theatre of Ukraine has announced they will be presenting Swan Lake with a tour across the United States and Canada. The tour includes a stop in Cincinnati at Taft Theatre on November 20, 2022.

Experience the most famous love story of all time!

Set to Tchaikovsky’s classic score and featuring brand new Choreography and productions by Andrey Litvinov.

The State Ballet Theater of Ukraine presented the full house premiere of Swan Lake in Dnipro, Ukraine, on September 26-27, 2020. The choreography and arrangement took many months, and the pandemic constantly disrupted the process. Fortunately, this new interpretation of the timeless classic was finally completed. The State Ballet of Ukraine will present this wonderful ballet on the United States and Canada tour this coming winter from November 2022 to January 2023.

The tour program can be found at www.classicalarts.net.

“This is a story for all ages. If you believe in a dream, a dream can come true! Says tour producer Michael Art: “This ballet has great music,” Michael continues. “It is complex, philosophical, with humor and tragedy. Swan Lake has become one of the brightest ballets in our repertoire. The production involved a ballet troupe of 55 dancers. More than 150 exclusive costumes were created especially for this performance.”

“Creating the Swan Lake ballet, we wanted to give the audience an unforgettable experience, immerse them in a fairy tale, help them believe in miracles,” says the theater’s artistic director, production designer Konstantin Pinchuk. This is especially important for all of us today when the war in Ukraine has greatly changed everyone's life. Working on the ballet, we want to support the Ukrainian people and glorify and promote Ukrainian culture in the United States and Canada.

Therefore, the costumes, scenery, and props turned out to be very bright and colorful. Our main task is to make the audience, having seen this ballet, want to come to the theater again. However, we are confident that the performance will interest viewers of all ages. After all, we all need a real fairy tale in our lives!”
