Where are you located?

The Taft Theatre is located at 317 East 5th St. Cincinnati, OH 45202.

Where is the venue box office?

The Taft Theatre Box Office is located inside the venue, accessible by entering through the far-left doors at the main entrance off East 5th Street.

Is there an elevator inside Taft Theatre?

No, there is not an elevator. All balcony seats require climbing stairs.

Is the venue ADA accessible?

The Taft Theatre is fully equipped with ADA Accessible entrances and seating. Please note that the ADA seating uses consecutive odd numbers. Each odd-numbered seat can be an accessible space or a companion seat. Patrons planning to attend with a companion should purchase two ADA-accessible tickets. Patrons MUST SPECIFY if they need ADA, hearing impaired, or visually impaired seating at the time of ticket purchase. A ticket will be sold in the designated ADA section on a best available basis. ADA tickets can be purchased at www.Ticketmaster.com or at the venue box office during operating hours.

What is the smoking policy?

The Taft Theatre is a smoke-free facility. There is a designated smoking area outside The Ballroom entrance and patrons are subject to search by our event staff upon re-entry.

Can I bring water in?

Patrons are allowed 2 unfrozen, factory-sealed bottles of water (up to 33.8 fl oz each). Alternatively, patrons can bring in soft, empty, squeezable plastic water bottles. Bottles can be filled up at the water fountain located in the lobby near the gender-neutral restroom. Canned water is prohibited.

Where can I park for Taft Theatre events?

There are several pay lots and parking garages within walking distance of Taft Theatre.

What is the bag policy?

No bags or purses larger than 12” x 12” are allowed. All guests entering the venue are subject to a bag inspection. No large bags or backpacks will be allowed in the building without prior authorization.

How do I purchase tickets?

Tickets are available online through Ticketmaster and at the Taft Theatre Box Office.

The Taft Theatre box office does not charge a service/convenience fee on cash purchases completed at the box office. Tickets purchased at the Taft Theatre box office using a credit card will incur a $2 per ticket service fee. Purchases completed through Ticketmaster's selling channels will include an additional convenience fee.

Four pack offers, vouchers, and discount/promotional tickets are not available for purchase or redemption day of performance.

There are no refunds or exchanges and lost, destroyed, or left behind tickets cannot be replaced.

Can I purchase tickets to Riverbend Music Center, PNC Pavilion and The Andrew J Brady Music Center events at the Taft Theatre box office?

Yes.

What are the box office hours?

Regular Box Office Hours (excluding holidays) are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 11am to 3pm. The Taft Theatre box office is also open on weekday show days starting at Noon, and on weekend show days one hour before door time.

**THE ONLY EXCEPTION IS CHILDREN'S THEATRE PERFORMANCES. CHILDREN'S THEATRE CAN ONLY SELL TICKETS TO THEIR PERFORMANCES**

Does Taft Theatre offer sign language interpretation for shows?

Yes, the Taft Theatre offers sign language interpretation upon request. Requests for sign language interpreting services must be received no later than 3 weeks before the event and are subject to the availability of an interpreter. Please email info@memi.biz to request an interpreter.

What does a “no phone/video” policy mean?

Per the artist's request, patrons will not be allowed to use cameras or phones to take photos or videos during specific performances. Failure to comply with this policy will result in being ejected from the show.

For some “no phone/video” policy shows, patrons may be asked to put their phones and other recording devices in a Yondr bag upon entering the venue. If your phone is your ticket, an employee will write down your seat/row/section for your convenience. If there is an emergency or a need to use your phone/device during these shows, you will have a designated area to use it with supervision of a Yondr employee.

Do I need an ID to enter the venue?

An ID is required for those planning to purchase and/or drink alcohol. In compliance with OH law, anyone 21 and older who plans on drinking alcohol will need to show a valid, non-expired, government-issued photo ID. Anyone without proper ID, regardless of age, will not be permitted to buy, hold, or drink alcohol.

Is there a coat check?

There is no coat check in the venue.

Are venue policies the same for all Taft Theatre events?

Each event may have exceptions to these policies, so be sure to check the event pages on our website, app, or social media pages, or call 513-232-5882 before attending.

Are service animals allowed in Taft Theatre?

Yes, service animals covered under ADA Regulations are allowed for concerts and events in the venue.

Does the venue have a lost & found?

If you lost something at a concert or event, please email us at info@memi.biz with a detailed description of your lost item and someone will get back to you within 24 hours. Please note that lost items will be recycled or thrown away after 21 days.

Are the events at Taft Theatre all ages?

Unless otherwise noted on the event page, every show/event at Taft Theatre is all ages.

Do you have gender-neutral bathrooms?

The venue is equipped with a gender-neutral and ADA accessible bathrooms to the right of the theatre doors in the main lobby.

Can I bring a poster, banner, or sign into the venue?

Posters, banners, or signs larger than 8.5” x 11” are not allowed in the venue.

Can I bring in a poster tube into Taft Theatre?

Yes, you can bring a cardboard poster tube into Taft Theatre concerts. Alternatively, patrons talk to event staff at the entrance, bring their poster back to their cars, and re-enter at the same entrance after getting permission from event staff.

Is there a First Aid area and do you have staff at the venue?

Yes. The First Aid area is located on the ground level to the left of the Ballroom entrance. Please seek out staff in a red MEMI First Aid polo shirt or ask a member of the Taft Theatre event staff to call for First Aid.

Where do I submit a media inquiry?

All media requests must be submitted on behalf of an official media outlet. We do not allow freelance submissions. Please email info@memi.biz for more information on how to submit a media inquiry.

Do I have to walk through a metal detector before I enter the venue?

All guests entering the venue are subject to a metal-detector screening by way of magnetometer, visual inspection, and/or bag inspection conducted by venue security personnel. The purpose of the inspection is to detect prohibited items and is for the safety of our guests and our staff.

How early can I line up for an event?

You may line up outside the Taft Theatre main entrance up to one hour before door time.

What is your re-entry policy?

There is no re-entry for all events at Taft Theatre.

What is your refund policy?

No refunds are given with the exception of cancelled or rescheduled concerts. All sales are final. Date, times, and artists are subject to change without notice.

Does the venue serve alcohol?

We offer a selection of beer, wine and mixed drinks as well as non-alcoholic beverages.

Can I bring my camera to the venue?

Professional cameras with detachable lenses are not allowed in the venue. Digital cameras, disposable cameras, and small cameras that fit in a men’s shirt pocket are allowed.

Is there public WiFi available?

There is no public WiFi available at the venue.

Where can I find an ATM?

An ATM is located in the lobby past the stairs on the left side when facing the theatre doors.

Am I allowed to record a performance?

Audio & video recording devices are not permitted in the venue without prior approval from the artist’s management.

If a show is cancelled, how do I get a refund?

Refunds are available at point of purchase.

Where are the venue entrances located?

The Taft Theatre main entrance is located under the marquee. The Ballroom at Taft Theatre entrance is located at the glass-paned door directly to the left of the main entrance when facing the venue from the street.

Are there any food options at Taft Theatre?

Yes. Dewey’s Pizza cheese and pepperoni slices are available for purchase at the Main Bar across from The Ballroom accessible via the stairs below the Lobby and the Balcony stand overlooking the Lobby. There is also a small selection of chips, nuts, and candy available for purchase.

What is your inclement weather policy?

All performances are rain or shine.

Where do I wait for a rideshare?

All patrons utilizing Uber, Lyft, or any other ridesharing service can use 5th Street or Sycamore Street.

Does my child need a ticket?

Children aged 2 or younger are admitted free when accompanied by a paying adult unless otherwise specified on the event page for an event. Please check the event page for more info. Children under the age of 2 must remain seated on the ticket holder’s lap. Please note: Children's Theatre of Cincinnati events do not adhere to this policy.
