TAUREN WELLS is a celebrated platinum-selling recording artist, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter, with 10 GRAMMY® Award nominations, six number 1’s, 225+ million career video views, six GMA Dove Awards, Billboard Music Award nomination, and over 1 billion global streams to date, and counting. Through his precise artistry, masterful lyrics, and dance-oriented performances, Tauren uniquely connects his contemporary Christian and Gospel sound with elements of pop, hip-hop and R&B. Tauren debuted his solo music in 2017 with the pop hit, “Love Is Action,” which held the no. 1 spot at CHR radio for eight weeks. Soon followed the GRAMMY®-nominated and RIAA platinum-certified “Hills and Valleys,” a thought-provoking piano and cello-driven track that found a home on Christian Airplay’s Top 10 for several consecutive weeks. In 2018, Tauren released “Known,” the RIAA gold-certified single which reached no. 1 on multiple charts including Christian Airplay and Christian AC Songs, while garnering him a 2019 GRAMMY® Award nomination for Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song and Billboard Music Award for Top Christian Song. His most recent collaboration with H.E.R., “Hold Us Together,” was nominated for a 2022 GRAMMY® Award for Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song, along with a 2022 BET Award nomination and a 2022 NAACP Image Award nomination. His album Citizen of Heaven (Live) was up for 2022 GRAMMY® Award for Best Contemporary Christian Music Album and generated the RIAA gold-certificated single, “Famous For (I Believe)”. Having toured with the iconic likes of Lionel Richie and Mariah Carey, this consummate performer averages nearly 90 shows a year across North America. In October, he will crisscross America on the “Joy in the Morning Tour,” his third headline outing (along with special guests Aaron Cole and Lakewood Music) in support of his latest album Joy In The Morning (June 2022) which features the hit singles “Fake It,” “Empty,” “Come Home,” and the title track.
21 year-old Aaron Cole started rapping when he was just three years old. Since then, he’s garnered the coveted Dove Award for New Artist of the Year, held back-to-back #1 singles on the Billboard Christian HOT AC/CHR chart and has had multiple sync uses including promos for ESPN and Fox Sports. His songs have also been featured in the Netflix original series, “On My Block” among other prominent sync placements.
Named “One of 5 Top Gospel Artists to Watch” by Essence Magazine, Cole’s musical journey included releasing six independent projects prior to his signing with Gotee Records. The Bristol, VA, native was then introduced to multi-GRAMMY-award-winning producer and artist TobyMac, who has been working with him ever since.
“Aaron Cole is where it’s going, He’s a natural,” TobyMac said. “He wakes up and breathes songs that are culturally relevant, but ever aware of the spiritual. He just gets it. He has a deep love for God and a love for people that organically works its way into the lyric. The Lord has blessed him with a deep well of talent, yet he grinds like he’s ungifted. That’s a rare combination that I will lock arms with anytime, anywhere.”
Lakewood Music brings an inspired new wave of worship to the world. Their sound is dynamic, their songs are rich, and the message is authentic. They are led by Alexandra Osteen, whose voice rings with sincerity and grace. With the aim to extend an open invitation of hope, Lakewood Music crafts songs that reach across genres with one unifying theme: the goodness of God.
This passionate collection of singers, songwriters, and musicians began at Lakewood Church in Houston, TX. Led by Joel Osteen, the church’s more than 60-year legacy is their foundation, and the unique blend of musical styles reflects the extraordinary diversity of their story.
Through the television broadcast, Sirius XM radio, and streaming platforms, Lakewood Music’s influence extends to an audience of over 200 million people around the world. They have played in iconic venues such as Yankee Stadium with Joel Osteen’s Come Home to Hope event and collaborated with multiple Grammy-nominated artists such as Tauren Wells, Travis Greene, Kim Walker-Smith, and Pat Barrett. Lakewood Music will also be supporting Tauren Wells throughout his Joy in the Morning tour.
Ten-time GRAMMY® nominee Tauren Wells announced his Spring 2023 headlining “Joy In The Morning Tour,” in support of his recent album by the same name. Kicking off the 19-city tour on January 26th, 2023, the national run will hit Cincinnati with a performance at Taft Theatre on March 5. Special guests Aaron Cole and Lakewood Music will support on all dates.
This outing continues Well’s third headline tour which started in Fall 2022 and follows last year’s sold-out, 23-city run. Most recently, Wells delivered the national anthem at the Detroit Lions’ 83rd annual Thanksgiving Day Classic game against the Buffalo Bills. He also welcomed the holiday season with the release of his single “Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays,” a reimagination of the much-loved *NSYNC classic. Last month, Wells teamed up with chart-topping country artist Jimmie Allen and GRAMMY®-winning R&B/gospel artist Erica Campbell to record infectious new versions of his track “Up.” The duets underscore Wells’ genre fluid approach to music and the universal nature of the anthemic song’s message, which finds hope in hard times. He also released a live version of the song recorded at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado.
Joy In The Morning is Wells’ third solo album and first for Capitol Records/CCMG. He celebrated its release with an appearance at the GRAMMY Museum L.A. Live. Visits to “Fox & Friends” and “Good Morning America” followed. Earlier this month, Wells returned to “Good Morning America” to perform “Up.” View HERE. He recently spoke with Billboard about the making of the album in this feature. Flaunt Magazine observed, “Wells’ optimism for a better tomorrow demonstrates that music is a common language – an overwhelming sensation of love and infinity in the palm of your hands.”
