Event Information

Marc Broussard, renowned vocalist and “King of Bayou Soul,” announces a national tour to celebrate the 20th anniversary of his breakthrough album, Carencro. The tour will see Broussard perform the album in its entirety, along with beloved fan favorites with special guest Joe Hertler & The Rainbow Seekers. The 30-plus city run will stop in Cincinnati, OH at Taft Theatre on March 14.

Released in 2004 on Island Records, Carencro marked Broussard’s major label debut and breakthrough, reaching number 30 on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart. Featuring the centerpiece hit “Home,” the album has proven to be among Broussard’s most beloved and enduring collections. “Home” became a Top-40 AC hit and catapulted Broussard into the national spotlight. The Louisiana-born and-raised artist has created a wide range of music in his career, and Carencro laid the groundwork with unequaled style, illustrating his knack for modern soul music and setting the stage for his long and distinguished career. His success continues today, with his recent philanthropic album S.O.S. 4: Blues for Your Soul, recorded and co-produced with Joe Bonamassa and Josh Smith, debuting at number 1 on the Billboard Blues Albums Chart.

Broussard remarks, “Twenty years ago, I released a record that would change my life forever. Twenty years on, I’m still playing more music from Carencro than any other album of mine and doing it with a big smile. Big thanks to my fans for their love and support. Here’s to another twenty!”

Carencro pays tribute to Broussard's hometown of Carencro, Louisiana, where he discovered his love for music, nurtured by his father, Louisiana Hall of Fame guitarist, Ted Broussard, and honed his craft in the vibrant Louisiana music scene. Broussard knew that music was his destiny. This album and the ones that followed solidified Broussard as a Southern Soul Singer with exceptional talent and natural authenticity, making him one of the most memorable artists of his time.

Broussard is currently on his international tour in support of his latest chart-topping album, S.O.S 4: Blues for Your Soul, a remarkable interpretation of blues and soul classics produced by Joe Bonamassa and Josh Smith. The West Coast and Texas string of dates begins October 28 in Hawaii and includes dates in Seattle, Portland, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Dallas, Houston and Austin.
