The Wood Brothers have shared winter 2026 tour dates in support of their latest album, Puff of Smoke. They'll be returning to headline Taft Theatre on March 1!
Alongside the tour announcement, The Wood Brothers have released a video created by bassist Chris Wood for “Above All Others,” a song that was initially released as the fourth single in advance of Puff of Smoke. Oliver Wood describes the track as: “Queen meets circus music, with big anthemic power chords and Freddie Mercury–style operatic, over-the-top choruses.”
Defined by their ever-curious musical minds, voracious creative appetite, and love of spontaneity, The Wood Brothers’ ninth studio album, Puff Of Smoke, brims with joy in the face of turbulent times. A true collaborative effort between the band’s three members, its 11 tracks weave a medley of musical ideas ranging from Latin-inflected acoustic guitar lines to driving post-jazz rhythms to infectious sing-along choruses, resulting in a cohesive, joyful whole.
The Wood Brothers return to the road next week in support of Puff Of Smoke for an extensive fall tour to close out 2025. The run makes stops across the Midwest in November and continues in December with shows in the Northeast.
Closing in on two decades since the release of their debut album Ways Not to Lose in 2006, The Wood Brothers show no signs of slowing down, offering a prolific flow of creative output alongside a zealous commitment to bring their electrifying live performances to fans across North America and Europe. As those who join them night after night will attest—while singing along to classics like “Luckiest Man,” “Postcards from Hell,” “Happiness Jones,” and countless others from their extensive catalogue—The Wood Brothers remain one of the most enduring and beloved bands of their time.
