Outback Presents is proud to announce that comedian Derrick Stroup is embarking on his first-ever headlining theater tour this fall. Stroup is bringing the Running Hot Tour to Cincinnati, OH for a performance at Taft Theatre on Saturday, September 19.
Alabama native, Waffle House enthusiast, and stand-up comedian Derrick Stroup isn’t your typical slow-talking Southerner. With the cadence of an angry auctioneer and rapid-fire storytelling, he delivers high-energy comedy packed with sharp observations about everyday life.
Stroup made his late-night debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in 2023 and returned for a second appearance in 2025. His first Netflix special, Nostalgic, premieres globally on March 10 and dives into life as a ’90s kid growing up in rural Alabama. He can also be seen regularly at the legendary Comedy Cellar and headlining clubs nationwide. In addition to touring, Stroup will appear in the upcoming film “The Breadwinner” and has toured with comedians Bert Kreischer, Larry the Cable Guy, John Crist, and Nate Bargatze.
